IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) Nights Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized care within the intermediate care unit, focused on neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory patients. The role requires collaboration with the healthcare team to deliver optimal patient outcomes in a dynamic hospital environment.

Job Details

Position Description:
Requisition: MVHS Inc. - AN-1863. Candidates must have at least two years of experience in the IMCU or Progressive Care Unit (PCU), with documentation of travel experience. This position is located in a 64-bed unit that includes 15 designated neuro beds, caring for patients with diagnoses such as COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-operative patients. The unit utilizes specialty equipment including Temp pacers, Chest tubes, A lines, Bipap, and Neptune Vapo, and manages chronic vents with respiratory therapy assistance.
Certifications & Education Requirements:
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications. Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license, with all other licenses verified through NURSYS.
Schedule:
Nights shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
Float:
Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information:
The ideal candidate will possess experience with EPIC electronic medical record system and demonstrate flexibility with unit operations, including scrubbing in navy blue.
