Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse Neuro Surgery, in a healthcare facility setting. This role involves assisting with approximately 200 neuro surgeries per month, including spinal fusions and craniotomies, requiring well-rounded neuro case experience. The position requires providing patient care in a fast-paced neuro surgical environment, including call shifts and weekend rotations.
Job Details
- Shift Time: Days, 10 hours shift, 0700-1730, with call shifts from 1530-0700.
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification, minimum of 1 year of neuro OR case experience, active IL license or application in process.
- Department: Neurology Surgery, with approximately 200 neuro surgeries monthly, including spine and craniotomies.
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Extensive neuro OR case experience, including spinal fusions and craniotomies.
- Additional information: Must understand OSF policies and procedures; orientation includes a 40-hour week.
- Floating: Could float but perhaps not likely due to staffing.
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Blue scrubs provided; personal shoes required.
- Charting System: EPIC Optime.
- Shift Notes: 10-hour days with call; weekend rotation approximately once a month; holiday/call required.
