Job Summary:
Step Down Unit Nurse Night Shift Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized care in a unit that manages patients with intermediate care acuity, including conditions such as chest pain, arrhythmias, and post-procedural patients. The role encompasses collaborative patient management, compliance with clinical protocols, and participation in a multidisciplinary team.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS; 2 years of experience preferred; willingness to wait for license to submit; location specified as unspecified; minimum experience required is 0 years.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 48 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include managing patients with conditions such as chest pain, arrhythmias, post-PCI, and trends, as well as operating telemetry and ventilators, titrating drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetolol, Nitro, and Heparin.
• Always prepared to read and interpret strips, with in-house support from hospitalists, intensivists, IV, and RT teams available 24/7.
• Floor-specific orientation includes initial days spent with HR and experienced preceptors, followed by independent practice.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must be willing to wait for license clearance and possess a license to submit.
