Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment. This position involves providing specialized care on a step-down, progressive care, or telemetry unit. The role requires adaptability to various clinical settings based on the department's needs, with a focus on delivering quality patient care in an acute care environment.
Job Details:
- Position: RN - Step Down Unit
- Location: Not specified (Remote from actual facility)
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: License verification, 2 years of PCU / Med-Surg Telemetry Acute Care experience, RN credential, Step Down specialty exam and skills must be completed, experience with EPIC electronic health record system, and candidate must be authorized to serve within a 40-mile radius of the assignment site
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in step-down or telemetry units, proficiency with EPIC, and prior travel experience
- Additional Information: The traveler will be placed on a unit where the greatest need is, either PCU or Med/Surg/Telemetry, based on skills. The role involves floating onsite or within 40 miles if needed within skill set or to sites within the specified radius. The assignment begins on 10/18/2026 and concludes on 01/16/2027. Candidates should be prepared to verify their skills and credentials as part of the submission process.
