Job Summary
Theater Operating Room (OR) Technician specializing in Obstetrics (OB) is needed in a healthcare facility located in Templeton. This position involves assisting in patient care during labor, delivery, and recovery, as well as supporting obstetric-related surgical procedures and operating room functions. The role requires a dedicated professional capable of efficiently supporting the obstetrics team and ensuring smooth patient transitions throughout the perioperative process.

Job Details

• Position located in Templeton with a shift schedule of days, from 6 am to 6 pm, working 12-hour shifts for a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider; Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA); High School Education/GED or equivalent; 1 year of related experience preferred, with a focus on obstetrics; EPIC experience; Cesarean section experience required.
• Essential duties include assisting with patient preparation, operating room setup utilizing aseptic technique, supporting the surgical team during obstetric procedures, participating in case timeout procedures, aiding in deliveries, collecting specimens, and monitoring maternal vital signs and intake/output measurements. Additionally, performs personal care services, assists with activities of daily living, and manages patient transport, positioning, and discharge activities.
• Other responsibilities encompass maintaining sterile supplies, ensuring proper turnover of patient areas, and providing general support to nursing staff as directed.
• Must be willing to respond to call as needed.
• The position is staffed by SEIU and emphasizes safety and compliance with organizational vaccination policies.
