Job Summary
OR (Operating Room) Surgical Technician in Templeton, California. This role involves providing assistance in patient care during labor, delivery, and recovery, as well as supporting obstetrics-related surgical procedures. The technician will perform surgical scrub duties, maintain supplies, and assist with patient turnover in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Job Details

• Location: Templeton, CA
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: High School Education/GED or equivalent; Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per organization policy; 1 year of experience in OB preferred, with CESAREAN section experience required; EPIC experience required; Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician certification preferred; Surge Tech certification preferred
• Essential Functions:
  • Assists in preparation of patient rooms and maintains sterile supplies using aseptic techniques
  • Supports the surgical team during operative procedures by providing supplies and instruments promptly
  • Participates in timeout procedures for safety compliance
  • Assists with deliveries, including patient preparation, positioning, transports, transfers, and discharge
  • Collects urinalysis specimens and records maternal vital signs, weight, height, and intake & output measurements
  • Provides personal care services and assists with activities of daily living
  • Prepares, positions, transports, transfers, and discharges patients
  • Performs general unit tasks including turning rooms over, stocking supplies, assembling charts, answering phones, and updating census logs
  • Call required as needed
