Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse Night Shift Location unspecified. This position involves providing care to patients during labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal stages. The role requires collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes in a hospital setting.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, minimum 1 year of experience required.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, working a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include caring for patients during labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum phases of childbirth, as well as neonatal care.
• Equipment utilized in the unit includes Epic electronic medical record, Electronic Fetal Monitoring, fetal warmers, and Pyxis.
• The position requires working with 6 LDRP beds and 3 postpartum beds, following Indiana Perinatal Standards.
• The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio compliant with state standards.
• Dress code: Hospital issued scrubs.
• Orientation: Jump start training/orientation provided by the healthcare provider, with department-specific training based on experience. Mandatory attendance for all 7 days of orientation.
• Charting System: Epic.
• License to Submit: Yes.
• Trauma Level: Care Setting: Acute.
• Shift Notes: 7 pm 7 am.
• The role does not require floating to other departments or units.
