An Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position specializing in cardiovascular care is available in Salem, VA. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a 12-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) within a healthcare facility. The nurse will work night shifts to support critically ill patients requiring advanced cardiovascular and ICU interventions.

Job Details

• Location: Salem, VA
• Position Type: Registered Nurse (RN) ICU OH (Intensive Care Unit - Cardiovascular)
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current RN license, certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), no minimum years of ICU experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in cardiac care or ICU setting, Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) credential recommended
• Unit Information:
  • 12-bed SICU with staff including RNs, externs, and specialized equipment such as Tablo, IABP, Impella, Swan Ganz, and others
  • Typical procedures include bedside sheath removal, post-cardiac catheterization, and bedside tracheostomy care
  • Team-focused personality preferred
• Responsibilities: Providing patient-centered critical care to cardiovascular patients, adhering to unit policies and clinical protocols, participating in team-driven patient management.
