Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) Nurse in a Magnet acute care hospital setting. This role involves providing direct patient care on a 12-hour day shift, with a schedule of three days per week, including every other weekend. The position requires experience in cardiac telemetry and adult medicine, with specific certifications and operational responsibilities.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Certification in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and COVID-19 vaccination is not required. Education includes a valid license in the relevant state or compact license if applicable. A minimum of 1 year of experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing is required.
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, totaling a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Clinicians may be asked to float between facilities and within the scope of their practice. The unit cares for acutely ill adult and geriatric patients transitioning from ICU, requiring telemetry monitoring and IV medications. Knowledge of cardiac telemetry, heparin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management of cardiac and vasoactive drips is essential. Travelers must have completed labs within 48-72 hours of signing and modules within the specified timeframe.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must be licensed in Illinois at the time of submission, with no local candidates within 75 miles accepted, and RTO (Request for Time Off) requests must be finalized upon submission.
