Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nursing position in a healthcare facility. This role involves utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a rotating shift. The position requires ensuring safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care while collaborating with the healthcare team to meet patient needs.

Job Details:

• Must successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test administered onsite before starting the assignment. Candidates will have one opportunity to re-test if necessary; a second failure will result in contract cancellation.
• Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles may be required.
• Must hold a State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications completed through the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross are required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• A minimum of 2 years of current experience in ICU specialty required.
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Education required: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Competency testing and education specific to patient population and protocols will be conducted per unit standards.
• Candidates must be team players, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
• EPIC experience is preferred, with training available onsite.
• Ability to provide direct patient care, assess, plan, and document patient needs, administer medications and treatments, and coordinate patient care effectively.
• Clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel is required.
