Job Summary
An experienced registered nurse (RN) specializing in intensive care unit (ICU) cardiovascular at an organization in Illinois. This role involves providing high-quality care within Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down Intensive Care Unit, and ICU units. Candidates with extensive cardiac experience and ICU background are preferred, and flexibility to float to Medical Surgical as needed is required.

Job Details

Position Description: We are seeking an experienced RN for our Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and ICU units. The candidate must have ICU experience and extensive Cardiac expertise.
Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: Current Illinois Nursing License, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certification, graduate of an accredited nursing program, and at least 1 year of experience in a relevant clinical setting.
Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Utilize nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients; administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved techniques and laws; document care according to standards; develop and implement patient care plans; participate in performance improvement activities; support other units as needed with clinical expertise; utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and escalate issues appropriately.
Additional Information: The position entails quick start with an established start date of 11/02/2026 and end date of 02/01/2027.
