Job Summary
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in an acute care setting. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, utilizing advanced skills in cardiac telemetry, hemodynamic monitoring, and patient management. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of handling a variety of clinical responsibilities within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.
• Education Requirements: Valid state license; compact license must be in hand at submission.
• Location Requirements: Must be within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
• Years of Experience: 0.0 (minimum).
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, management of cardiac drips, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, PICC line management, post-cardiac angiogram, pre/post cardiac cath, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry monitoring, EPIC HARDSTOP, and experience in stepdown or ICU units.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have current work references and recent work experience. Clinicians must have worked in the discipline within the last 6 months. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities, and refusal to float may impact employment. Candidates should not directly contact the facility unless an interview has been scheduled through the account manager.
• Submission Requirements: Must include responses to questions regarding prior work at a Providence facility, with locations and dates, as well as two references covering at least one year within the last three years.
