Job Summary
Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician - ORT located in the Southern Illinois area. This role involves assisting in the transportation, positioning, and preparation of patients for surgical procedures, as well as supporting the surgical team with instrument handling, specimen care, and room turnover. Job Details

• Position Description: Assists in transportation and positioning of patients, and helps prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, including opening sterile supplies and setting up for procedures.
• Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Non-Certified: Graduate of operating room technician program accredited through ARC/STSA or on-the-job training; military experience as technician or LPN; dental assistant; ophthalmologist technician; medical assistant. Certified: Successfully pass the Certified Surgical Technologist exam through NBSTSA or NCCT. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Schedule: Rotating shift, 10 hours per day, working 4 days a week, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Assists in handling and caring for specimens, decontaminates instruments, and aids in the efficient turnover of the operating room for subsequent cases.
• Submission requirements: Candidates must be available for the specified start date of 11/02/2026 and end date of 02/01/2027.
