Description
Job Summary
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) in Alaska. This position supports perioperative care across a broad range of surgical specialties in an acute care setting. The assignment is scheduled for 13 weeks and includes day shifts, weekend coverage, call-off coverage, and potential float assignments within the nurses scope.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Current Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience; required experience with electronic health record charting, including Epic; ability to provide care for neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification; Level I trauma experience.
- Schedule: Day shifts scheduled as either three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts, with start times of 6:45 AM7:15 PM or 9:00 AM9:30 PM; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Weekend coverage is required. Call is limited to coverage for call-offs. Float rotation may be required within the nurses scope, including to like units or nearby affiliated facilities. The role supports general, orthopedic and spine, neurological, gynecological, ear, nose, and throat, breast, vascular, urological, ophthalmic, dental, pediatric, trauma, and bariatric procedures. The nurse must be willing to work two of the three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day. The assignment begins 11/16/2026 and ends 02/15/2027.
