Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Nurse Springfield, MA. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a high-volume, Level 1 trauma center with a focus on cardiac surgery. The role includes working closely with surgical teams across diverse procedures, including transplant and organ recovery, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Details

Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: 1 year of relevant experience in operating room nursing, specific experience with open heart procedures preferred, valid nursing license required, and must meet state licensure standards.
Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: Float to ambulatory surgery may be required at Chestnut. On-call requirements include 4 shifts per month, with weekend and holiday commitments. The main operating room functions 24/7 with multiple teams covering overnights and on-call duties. All ORs require a registered nurse and a scrub tech or nurse to complete each surgical case.
