Description

Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) in the ORT specialty at a healthcare facility. This position involves assisting the surgical team in preparing for operative procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, passing instruments and supplies, and ensuring the smooth flow of surgical cases.

Job Details

Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: High School Education or GED; Certified Surgery Technician (CST) or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) certification; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Associates/Technical Degree or equivalent experience; Scrub technician experience; Operating room training course; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; experience in acute OR setting, including trauma, joint, neuro spine, advanced laparoscopic, and bariatric surgeries.
Position Responsibilities: Prepare surgical cases by assembling supplies and equipment; review inventory; set up sterile fields; perform instrument and supplies counts; maintain aseptic technique; assist with housekeeping duties; transport patients; perform clerical duties.
Additional Information: All associates are required to receive all vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Adventist Health participates in E-Verify.
