Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse (RN) position in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves providing patient care on a predominantly surgical unit, with experience in post-operative, orthopedic, gynecological, urological, and general surgeries preferred. The RN collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver individualized patient care under the supervision of licensed physicians.
Job Details
- Position Description: RN - Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a healthcare facility in Philadelphia, PA. The unit is primarily surgical with a focus on post-operative care, including orthopedics, gynecology, urology, and general surgeries.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's Degree; PA Registered Nurse License; Basic Life Support certification; Multi-State Compact RN License; 1 year of clinical experience in the specialty area.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The unit is a 20-bed facility with a staffing ratio of 4 or 5 to one. During full census, staffing includes 5 RNs and 2 nursing assistants. Responsibilities include assessing, implementing, and evaluating patient care, collaborating with patients and healthcare team members, and directing nursing support staff.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must be able to work every other weekend, one evening of major holidays such as Christmas or New Years, and one holidayThanksgiving, Christmas, or New Yearsdepending on unit needs. Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs.
