Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) RN - Outpatient Center, located in the region. This position involves providing specialized post-operative care for a diverse patient population, including those undergoing urology, orthopedic, breast oncology, and ENT procedures. The role offers variable shift hours with a focus on day and evening shifts, supporting a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: CA RN License, BSN, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required; minimum 5 years of critical care and PACU experience; outpatient and pain management experience preferred.
• Schedule: Variable, typically 8-hour shifts, with operational flexibility up to 10 or 12 hours; minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Requirements: Ability to float to other UCSF facilities; references must be completed at time of submission; completed onboarding modules prior to start.
• Responsibilities: Provide patient monitoring and care during the post-operative phase; manage airway assessments, pain management, and recovery protocols; utilize Epic charting system.
• Preferred Qualifications: PACU certification such as CPAN or CAPA is a plus; prior charge experience, charting experience, and patient ratio experience highly valued.
• Start Date: 11/17/2026, with end date of 02/02/2027.
• Submission Requirements: Submit two references from the most recent employer along with relevant certification documentation.
