Job Summary
The ORT (Operating Room Technician) position in Surgical Technology is available in the area. This role involves preparing the operating room for surgery, maintaining a sterile environment, passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon, and assisting with patient positioning and transport. The position requires attention to detail and adherence to sterile protocols to ensure quality surgical support.

Job Details

• Position Description: The Surgical Technician prepares the operating room, including setting up the sterile field and surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions. During surgery, this role passes instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon and manages surgical equipment, the sterile field, and specimens.
• Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Certified Surgical Technologist certification preferred; 1+ years of related work experience preferred; BLS required; exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Maintain a clean and sterile surgical environment, provide the surgeon with appropriate instrumentation and equipment, assist the surgeon during procedures, keep records of Steam Sterilizer use, perform initial instrument, sharps, and sponge counts with the circulator, organize suture carts and monitor expiration dates, turnover rooms between cases, assist with gowning, gloving, and patient positioning, and stock supplies as needed.
