Job Summary
Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in the en_US locale. This position involves providing specialized care to critically ill stroke patients, neurosurgery, and neurology patients within a 10-bed ICU setting. The role requires expertise in neuro-critical procedures such as ICP monitoring, EVD management, post-angiogram care, and CRRT, with a focus on ensuring optimal patient recovery and safety.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale certification, at least 2 years of Neuro ICU experience, experience with EVD, ICP, angiogram post care, CRRT, carotid, embolizations, and ICU patient management. Certifications must be from AHA or ARC.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours each, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts are from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Additional Information: Candidate may need to care for COVID-19 patients. The unit handles stroke, tumors, SAH, SDH, and TNK diagnoses, with procedures including craniectomy, carotid stents, coagulation, and flow diverters. Regular clinical screening and final decision from the manager are required for candidate approval. Floating to other ICU and acute care units may be required.
• Submission Requirements: Must have EPIC charting system experience and hold current ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale certifications. The candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in ICU Neuro specialty and relevant procedural expertise.
