Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Iowa This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients on a medical-surgical unit within a healthcare facility. The role requires delivering exceptional patient care, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team to ensure positive health outcomes.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Iowa licensed BLS (AHA), active Iowa state license or multistate license, and a minimum of 24 months of current medical-surgical experience.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Must be comfortable floating across medical-surgical units, experienced with drips including amiodarone, dilitiazem, heparin, dobutamine, milrinone, and knowledgeable about equipment such as chest tubes, JP drain, 3-way Foley, and NG tube.
- Qualifications: Prior experience in stepdown, progressive care, or hospital medical-surgical units required; EPIC electronic medical systems experience preferred.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must have an active Nursys validation, professional references from within the last 24 months, and a valid drivers license.
