Located in Springfield, Missouri, this position is for Surgical Technologists specializing in Operating Room (OR) procedures. The role involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of the surgeon and circulating registered nurses, preparing operating rooms, and assisting in various surgical disciplines in a hospital setting. The position supports a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and patient outcomes.

Job Details

Role: Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room (OR)
Specialty: OR (Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician)
Schedule: Days shift, 4x10 hours, minimum 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Certifications: BLS from American Heart Association (AHA), required. Education: Must have graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Experience: 1 year plus Surgical Technologist experience in a hospital setting. Location Requirement: Springfield, MO.
Preferred Qualifications: Level 1 trauma experience with multiple years of hospital setting experience.
Responsibilities include setting up surgical cases across multiple specialties, maintaining a sterile environment, performing instrument, sponge, and sharp counts, assisting OR staff, and functioning as a resource for newly hired Surgical Technicians and students.
Additional Information: Must be able to work differing schedules, shifts, and on-call shifts. The role involves lifting and pushing patients, equipment, and instruments, working in high-stress situations, and strict adherence to Universal Precautions.
