Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Carlsbad, New Mexico. This temporary position involves providing patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department. The RN will demonstrate critical thinking, leadership, and clinical competencies to deliver safe, effective care, with responsibilities including thorough assessments, medication administration, and effective communication.

Job Details

Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Emergency Room (ER)
Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Shift: Days, 6:30 am 6:00 pm, 12-hour shifts, Minimum 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Active nursing license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course); 2+ years ER experience; Fingerprints clearance for all New Mexico travel nurses
Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, Minimum 36 hours per week
Additional Information: The RN holds shift accountability, utilizing the nursing process to deliver care in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Floating within the nurse's scope and experience is required, typically to intensive care units if needed. The EMR used is MedHost (EDIS).
Submission requirements: Candidates must be available to start on 11/23/2026 and complete the assignment by 02/22/2027.
