Job Summary
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift MS Specialty. Located in an acute care hospital setting, this role involves providing comprehensive patient care within a busy medical-surgical unit. The RN will operate primarily during night shifts, managing adult and geriatric patients with a focus on safety, comfort, and recovery.

Job Details

• Position/Specialty: Medical Surgical RN
• Shift: 3x12 Night shifts (from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM) with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Requirements: BLS certification; active Illinois license or in the application process with ETA to apply; minimum 2 years of experience; blood product administration, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and IV therapy/phlebotomy skills required
• Certifications: BLS required
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours each, with every other weekend required
• Additional Information: Will float as needed within scope to meet department needs; can accommodate block schedule; no on-call requirement; RTO restrictions: ideally no more than 5 days; start date: 11/16/2026; end date: 02/15/2027
• Patient care will involve adult and geriatric populations, managing diagnoses such as GI bleed, bowel obstruction, colon cancer, and other gastrointestinal conditions.
• Responsibilities include administering blood products, managing PICC lines, and maintaining isolation precautions, with proficiency in using Cerner charting system.
