Job Summary
Medical Surgical Nurse in the area. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care on a Medical Surgical floor, working interchangeably across multiple units. The position requires a minimum of two years of recent experience in post-operative recovery and offers night shifts and every other weekend rotation.

Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical Floor
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM or 7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: Scheduled on shifts most in need, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS certification, valid nursing license, minimum of 2 years of recent post-operative recovery experience, location requirements as specified
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Post Operative General/Orthopedic/Podiatry, general medical conditions such as DM PN, CHF, COPD, cellulitis, surgical drains, wound vacs, experience with BiPAP, High Flow, Vapotherm respiratory equipment, 12 lead EKG experience, teletech experience preferred
• Additional Information:
  • Department: Medical Surgical
  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5-6 at night
  • Patients may be on telemonitoring, centrally monitored by monitor techs
  • Nurse aides are available, with some cross-trained in phlebotomy and able to answer phones/call lights
  • Responsibilities include managing patients within scope, no infection control, and adhering to unit protocols
  • Orientation includes two 12-hour shifts of training, with subsequent shifts supervised by a preceptor or on own
  • Floating to ICU or Telemetry may be required based on unit needs, within scope
  • scrubs of any color are acceptable
