Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Floor. This position provides comprehensive nursing care through patient assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, documentation, education, and coordination with the healthcare team. The role supports safe, evidence-based care for patients with medical, oncology, telemetry, and medical-surgical needs while providing day-shift coverage.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Current, valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice, temporary or interim Registered Nurse license in the state of practice, or compact Registered Nurse licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area; ability to read telemetry strips.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree; professional certification; additional related education or experience.
• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; every other weekend and holidays required according to unit rotation.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Provides care for medical, oncology, telemetry, and medical-surgical patients. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing and revising individualized plans of care, coordinating and delegating care, evaluating patient responses, documenting care, supporting patient and family education, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The role may require standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, stretching, lifting, transferring patients, and using standard precautions when exposed to blood or bodily fluids.
