Description

Job Summary

Labor and Delivery nursing position providing care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and high-risk patients in an acute-care setting. The role requires experience with deliveries through 23 weeks, cesarean-section procedures, fetal monitoring, and collaborative care for patients with conditions such as hypertension and known cardiac abnormalities.

Job Details

Required Qualifications: Two years of Labor and Delivery experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certificate; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM); cesarean-section experience including scrubbing, recovery, and circulating; experience supporting antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients.
Preferred Qualifications: Travel nursing experience preferred.
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, including 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. start times; every other weekend; 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: Provides care in Labor and Delivery and postpartum settings, with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 close to delivery, 1:2 otherwise, and 1:4 for postpartum couplets. Responsibilities may include caring for high-risk antepartum patients, supporting deliveries, and collaborating with perinatology services. Weekend coverage includes four shifts within a four-week period. No call requirement is listed. Orientation consists of three shifts.
