Description

Job Summary

Emergency Room Registered Nurse position in an acute care setting. The role supports a high-volume, high-acuity emergency department caring for trauma, stroke, pediatric, psychiatric, and other emergency patients. The position requires strong emergency nursing experience, teamwork, and the ability to contribute to a fast-paced clinical environment.

Job Details

Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of emergency room nursing experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and required COVID-19 vaccination certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification and experience in a Level II or higher trauma setting. Travel nursing experience is preferred.
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 36 hours per week, including every other weekend. Holidays are worked as part of the regular rotation. One call day per month may be required.
Additional Information: The emergency department includes 28 beds, four fast-track beds, two trauma bays, and hallway beds, with a typical patient ratio of 1:4. A proctored dysrhythmia test is administered onsite on the first day and must be passed. Orientation includes 23 shifts, and the role involves caring for a broad patient population in a high-volume, high-acuity environment. Candidates are expected to support teamwork and help strengthen team performance within the emergency department.
