Qualifications
Description
HealthCare Support is actively seeking to hire multiple Pharmacists to fill multiple openings in the Louisville Metro Area.
Daily Responsibilities for Float Pharmacist:
- Must be comfortable giving annual / monthly vaccines to patients
- Have a clinical focus to ensure that patients are adhering to their medications.
- Provide patient education based on how they’re taking their medication. Will also discuss any roadblocks on getting their medications refilled to ensure better compliance.
- Possess knowledge of the pharmaceutical products and supplies kept in the department to be competent making recommendations to patients and prescribers.
- Receive verbal RX orders and accurately reduce to writing in adherence with State and Federal laws and regulations.
- Interpret, fill/refill, label and bag prescription orders.
- Evaluate appropriateness of RX orders with consideration to patient safety, and legal requirements.
- Provide drug counseling with customers and prescribers.
- Be familiar with third party billing and procedures, facilitate charge for customer.
- File prescription orders and records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Weekdays – Open from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Weekends – Open from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturdays 10 – 5 on Sundays
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy – new grads welcome but on the lower end of the payscale
- Clear and active KY Pharmacist License
- KY Immunization Certification
- 1+ years retail pharmacy experience
- Bilingual Pharmacist in English/Spanish
