Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMCU/PCU)

Department: Intermediate Care / IMCU
Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Assignment Type: Travel
Local Candidates: Accepted — local rates apply to candidates residing less than 75 miles from the facility

Submission Requirements

• Updated resume demonstrating 2+ years of IMCU/PCU experience

• Resume must clearly document travel nursing experience

• Travel experience required

• Skills checklist matching the specialty

• Driver’s license with address matching candidate demographics

• Current AHA BLS

• Current AHA ACLS

• Current NIHSS

• Nursys report/license verification required

• Active New York RN license required

• All RN licenses must be included in the Nursys verification

• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be included at the time of submission

• EPIC EMR experience required

Number of Beds: 64
Designated Neuro Beds: 15

Patient Population

• Adults, ages 18+

Common Diagnoses / Patient Conditions

Candidates should have experience caring for patients with:

• Neurological conditions

• Cardiac conditions

• Trauma

• Respiratory conditions

• COPD

• DKA

• Sepsis

• Myocardial Infarction (MI)

• Cardiovascular Stepdown patients

• Post-operative patients

Specialty Equipment

Experience with the following equipment is required/preferred:

• Temporary pacemakers

• Chest tubes

• Arterial lines (A-lines)

• BiPAP

• Neptune Vapo

Ventilator Experience

• Vents: Yes

• Experience with chronic ventilator patients who are unable to wean

• Respiratory Therapy (RT) available to assist
