Job Title
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
Location
Meridian, ID
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients (32 weeks gestation and greater), including elective and medical inductions, stable antepartum patients, postpartum patients, and well newborns
- Circulate in OR suites for cesarean section procedures
- Perform triage assessments and manage triage patients as needed
- Titrate drips per protocol, including Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and insulin as required
- Operate and interpret electronic fetal monitoring using the GE Connect EFM system
- Adhere to AWHONN staffing standards, maintaining 1:1 ratios in Labor and Delivery and 1:6 couple care ratios in Postpartum
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Completion of S.T.A.B.L.E. program (at least once)
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- Demonstrated experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and OR circulation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior triage experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
- Familiarity with GE Connect electronic fetal monitoring systems
- Experience titrating obstetric drips including Pitocin and magnesium sulfate per protocol
