Job Title

Travel RN – Operating Room (Orthopedic)

Location

Jacksonville, Florida

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct perioperative nursing care in an orthopedic-focused operating room with a 1:1 patient ratio
Assist with and support procedures including arthroscopies, total joint replacements, and orthopedic trauma cases
Operate and manage orthopedic surgical equipment in accordance with facility protocols
Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
Participate in on-call shifts as scheduled (approximately 6 call shifts per 4-week schedule), including weekend on-call coverage
Adhere to facility dress code requirements, including wearing hospital-provided scrubs

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
Orthopedic and trauma orthopedic experience required
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or TCAR certification required — must be included at time of submission with no grace period
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Proficiency with Meditech documentation system

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience with arthroscopic, total joint, and orthopedic trauma surgical procedures
Familiarity with a high-volume, acute care hospital environment
Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new teams and facility workflows
