Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Nampa, ID

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in an LDRP setting where patients remain in the same room throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
  • Circulate and recover patients for cesarean section procedures in dedicated OR suites on the unit
  • Staff triage beds and manage obstetric triage patients in accordance with AWHONN staffing standards
  • Titrate drips including Pitocin protocol, Magnesium protocol, and occasional Insulin drips per established protocols
  • Attend deliveries, complete newborn stabilization and physical assessment within the first two hours of birth, and provide postpartum couplet care
  • Float to other Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, or Antepartum units within the health system's Treasure Valley sites as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN licensure in good standing
  • Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience (3 years strongly preferred)
  • Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and S.T.A.B.L.E. certifications required
  • Experience with magnesium administration and titration
  • Ability to circulate cesarean sections, manage triage, and provide postpartum couplet care
  • Mother-baby experience required (minimum 1 year preferred)

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Charge nurse experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
  • Familiarity with Centricity electronic fetal monitoring system and Epic EMR
  • Experience caring for high-acuity obstetric patients including HTN/magnesium management, TOLACs, and gestational diabetes
  • Comfort working with a diverse patient population and in a unit with an embedded NICU model
