Occupational Therapist – Acute Care
Location
Apple Valley, CA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8 Hours (8:00–16:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluation and treatment services within an acute care hospital setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support patient recovery and functional independence
- Document patient progress and clinical notes using Epic electronic health records system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Float between facilities within the state as required by assignment needs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience required
- Active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license – must be in hand prior to start
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days required
- Must disclose any license or background hits at time of submission; no open license hits will be approved
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an acute care hospital environment
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
- Experience working in a travel or contract therapy role
