Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit with a focus on spinal, neurological, and trauma surgical cases
• Monitor and manage patients with complex diagnoses including gunshot wounds, spinal cord injuries, quadriplegia, and paraplegia
• Accurately document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and post-operative care in accordance with physician orders and established protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license with Nursys verification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing specialty
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Current BLS/ACLS certification (certification card required)
• Ability to provide a complete work history or resume with no employment gaps greater than 60 days
• Availability to provide professional references

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for spinal cord injury, neurotrauma, or post-surgical trauma patients
• Familiarity with care protocols for quadriplegic and paraplegic patient populations
• Completed Medical/Surgical nursing skills checklist
