Travel Registered Nurse – Oncology (Women's Cancer Center)
Location
Asheville, North Carolina
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 8-Week Assignment | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to oncology patients within a dedicated women's cancer center setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for oncology patients
- Administer medications, chemotherapy, and other treatments in accordance with established protocols and physician orders
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate changes in condition to the care team promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing, eligible to practice in North Carolina
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in oncology
- Current BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required per facility standards
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced oncology environment
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills specific to oncology patient populations
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a women's cancer center or gynecologic oncology setting
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or Chemotherapy Biotherapy certification preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience in an acute care or specialty oncology environment
