Travel RN – Acute Care / PCU (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed acute care unit utilizing a Team-Based Care model, collaborating daily with MDs, case management, pharmacy, and PT/OT
• Perform and manage IV starts, central venous lines (CVL), arterial lines, and Foley catheter insertion and maintenance
• Conduct continuous EKG monitoring and perform wound care as indicated
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including IV pumps, SCDs, Nova Stat glucometer, wound vac, Baxter feeding pump, and lift equipment
• Document and manage patient care using Cerner EMR; access medications via Pyxis
• Participate in weekend rotation and holiday staffing per scheduling matrix; float to TCU as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• BLS certification required prior to start
• ACLS certification required (must be completed prior to end of orientation)
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment caring for patients ranging from med/surg to ICU level

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior ICU or stepdown/PCU experience strongly preferred
• At least 1 year of med/surg experience preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
