Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Orthopedics

Contract | Days (3x12, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Orthopedic unit within a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center
- Operate within a team nursing model, collaborating with interdisciplinary staff to deliver safe, high-quality care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans for orthopedic and surgical patients
- Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as needed per unit scheduling requirements
- Float between like units and campuses as directed by unit leadership
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Tennessee or a valid Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license — no pending licenses accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Medical Surgical or Orthopedic nursing
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Large hospital experience required
- At least one completed prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers will not be considered
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility — local candidates will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3 or more years of RN experience across any specialty
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records
- ADN accepted; BSN not required for this position
