Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge in the provision and management of patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Provide nursing care to patients in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown setting, including monitoring and managing complex cardiac and progressive care needs
• Manage and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban
• Perform and manage care involving chest tubes, femstops, trachs, continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), drains, and central lines
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a relevant clinical setting
• Active Illinois RN state license required; Iowa RN state license required upon offer
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Proficiency with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac and open heart experience strongly preferred
• At least one prior travel nursing contract completed
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
