Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring for patients recovering from surgical or procedural sedation
• Assess and manage patient pain, airway, hemodynamic stability, and level of consciousness in the PACU setting
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure safe patient transitions and handoffs
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately using the facility's electronic health record system
• Respond to and manage changes in patient condition, initiating appropriate interventions as needed
• Adhere to facility emergency protocols, which may include assignment to an emergency response or relief team during declared emergency events

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience required
• Current AHA-issued ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as verified by address on driver's license)
• Current NURSYS report required, dated within 4 weeks of submission
• Two manager or supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RN references not accepted); must be submitted in PDF format

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system strongly preferred, particularly for first-time travelers
• Experience with block scheduling (4x10 or 3x12 formats)
