Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive, age-specific assessments of patients' physical and psychosocial status upon admission and on an ongoing basis
• Accurately document observations, physical examinations, laboratory and test results, and patient responses to procedural interventions
• Participate in multidisciplinary care planning to identify and clarify patient needs and achieve optimal outcomes
• Complete required documentation within organizational standards and timeframes
• Assist other staff in the delivery of patient care as appropriate
• Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning to promote optimal patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience required
• Active Illinois RN license (must reflect Active status on Nursys)
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of start if not already active)
• Current skills checklist pertinent to Intensive Care Unit, completed within the past year
• 2 completed supervisory reference forms with dates of employment listed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity environment
