Registered Nurse – PACU
Location

Contract | Days | 4x9-Hour Shifts | Tuesday through Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care to patients undergoing procedures in Plastics, ENT, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Urology, and Ophthalmology
- Monitor and assess patients in the PACU setting, ensuring safe recovery from anesthesia
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC
- Participate in bi-weekly orientation as required by the facility
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or a pending Nebraska RN state license
- Minimum of 3 years of PACU or pre/post-operative nursing experience
- Experience in pre/post-op care across Plastics, ENT, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Urology, and Ophthalmology required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system required
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Familiarity with high-acuity, complex patient populations in a large acute-care setting
