Job Title

Travel RN – Oncology (Days)

Key Responsibilities

Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and available resources.
Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations.

Required Qualifications

Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required – must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Chemotherapy (Chemo) certification is required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in Oncology nursing.

Preferred Experience / Skills

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience in a similar inpatient oncology clinical setting with demonstrated ability to manage complex patient care needs.
