Physical Therapist (PT) – Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF), Travel Contract

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | Monday – Friday with 2–3 weekend days per month | 32 Hours Weekly Guaranteed | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services to adult inpatient rehabilitation patients with diagnoses including brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, amputation, cardiac conditions, and orthopedic injuries
• Manage a daily caseload of approximately 6–7 patients within a 44-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation setting
• Deliver customized, intensive rehabilitation treatment tailored to individual patient needs throughout their recovery journey
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and execute discharge plans targeting return to home
• Document patient care and progress utilizing the UDS electronic health record system
• Float to additional rehabilitation facility locations as needed

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Indiana
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of physical therapy experience
• Previous inpatient rehabilitation (IRF) experience highly preferred; candidates with only outpatient, school-based, or acute care backgrounds are not a strong fit for this role

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in an adult IRF setting with stroke, neurological, and orthopedic patient populations
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with short patient lengths of stay
• Strong collaborative and teamwork-oriented approach to patient care and discharge planning
