Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Float Pool

Contract | Nights (19:00–07:00) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a Medical Surgical float pool, floating across multiple facilities within the region as needed
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 on Medical Surgical units
• Titrate drips as required, including insulin drips common to Medical Surgical settings
• Receive unit and hospital assignments via a designated app approximately one hour before each shift begins, including potential mid-shift floats to different units or facilities
• Collaborate with charge nurses, assistant managers, and patient care techs present on all units
• Serve as a 1:1 sitter in any area of the facility when assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to float to any facility within the regional network, remaining within specialty scope
• Flexibility to float mid-shift to different units and facilities as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with titratable drip management in an inpatient setting
• Experience working in a float pool or multi-facility environment
