Job Title
Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Float Pool
Location
Boise, ID
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights (19:00–07:00) | Onsite | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within a Medical Surgical float pool, floating across multiple facilities within the region as needed
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 on Medical Surgical units
- Titrate drips as required, including insulin drips common to Medical Surgical settings
- Receive unit and hospital assignments via a designated app approximately one hour before each shift begins, including potential mid-shift floats to different units or facilities
- Collaborate with charge nurses, assistant managers, and patient care techs present on all units
- Serve as a 1:1 sitter in any area of the facility when assigned
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to float to any facility within the regional network, remaining within specialty scope
- Flexibility to float mid-shift to different units and facilities as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with titratable drip management in an inpatient setting
- Experience working in a float pool or multi-facility environment
