Registered Nurse – IR / Special Procedures (Cath Lab)

Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in a cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology setting, including STEMI response and EP lab procedures
- Assist with interventional and procedural cases including biopsies, GI/GU/Renal, peripheral vascular, and stent placement
- Administer blood and blood products and operate syringe pumps as required
- Perform or assist with cardioversion, defibrillation, and cooling/warming blanket application
- Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs
- Fulfill on-call requirements, including a minimum of one weekday and one weekend per month, with shift lengths varying between 8 and 10 hours
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; active compact license accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology nursing
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Proficiency in blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, syringe pumps, cooling/warming blankets, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
- Must not be a first-time traveler
- Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Cath lab nursing experience strongly preferred; candidates with IR experience and no cath lab background will be considered
- Familiarity with EP lab and STEMI protocols
