Registered Nurse – Telemetry / IMC / Step-Down (Moderate Care Unit)

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 3 x 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | On-Site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for low-acuity critical care and observation patients within a heart and vascular moderate care unit
• Monitor and manage patients with arterial lines, PA catheters, LVADs, and up to 2–4 vasoactive drips
• Care for pre-surgical and post-procedure patients who require extended monitoring prior to discharge
• Support high patient turnover in a fast-paced cardiovascular environment with a wide variety of diagnoses and procedures
• Perform and interpret cardiac rhythm identification as required upon unit orientation
• Collaborate with the broader heart and vascular service line teams to facilitate appropriate patient placement and transitions of care

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of experience in IMC, PCU, Step-Down, or related specialty within the past 3 years
• Experience with PA lines required
• Ability to pass a proctored, free-response cardiac rhythm identification test upon start
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local travelers)
• Navy blue scrubs required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience with rare or occasional ventilator management in a step-down or moderate care setting
• Background working with cardiovascular or vascular patient populations
