Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | 13–26 Weeks | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care on a Neurosurgical unit, caring for patients with stroke, seizures, MS, and back, head, spinal, and other neurological diagnoses or neurosurgery procedures
• Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care for assigned patients and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers
• Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards
• Float within scope of practice as needed across the unit
• Assume occasional charge nurse responsibilities as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care experience in Medical Surgical and Neuroscience nursing required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required
• Willingness to take on occasional charge nurse responsibilities
• Must complete an on-site FIT test; EPIC EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior charge nurse experience is helpful but not required
• Team-oriented, patient-focused personality with strong interpersonal skills
