Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of childbearing women, neonates, and families to develop and implement individualized plans of care
  • Conduct initial assessment and stabilization of neonates following delivery
  • Provide patient and family education on self-care and newborn care
  • Identify and intervene with vulnerable or at-risk patients and families, collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team members as needed
  • Facilitate family bonding and promote understanding of how family relationships impact health outcomes
  • Assist patients and families in understanding and coping with women's health issues and the childbirth process

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program
  • Current Pennsylvania RN licensure
  • Active BLS certification meeting American Heart Association Healthcare Provider standards
  • Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Active ACLS certification meeting American Heart Association Healthcare Provider standards
  • Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
  • Strong verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and care team members
  • Demonstrated emotional resilience and sound clinical judgment when caring for ill patients and their families
