Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location
Apple Valley, CA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Monday–Friday | Full-Time (5x8-Hour Shifts, 8:00–16:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language pathology services in both inpatient (acute care) and outpatient settings within an acute care hospital environment
- Manage a caseload consisting primarily of acute hospital patients with typically 1–3 adult outpatient cases per day
- Independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
- Document patient care and progress using Epic electronic health records
- Float between facilities within the state as required by assignment needs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist; must be able to practice independently
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Active California state SLP license — must be in hand prior to start (pending licenses not accepted)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies
- LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
- Experience managing a hybrid inpatient and outpatient caseload
